Yep..u SHOULD have guessed, that you want to be THE ONLY :) not guys- mea culpa, you are right ;)
Lexy is the only guy from galaxy! but which one? Maybe, Andromeda? Sirius star?;)
BTW, i need to ask Kotty to write more about galaxies and Andromeda too, especially about Sirius, Digitaria... maybe we discuss stars tonight- or maybe you have another suggestion?

Hmm..... topic about galaxies, maybe it will interesting.

"that all of us will like"- - much better:)
Also, you can say "that will be to everybody's liking", - a nice phrase!

And where are the others?? Boons promised to tell us about his interpreter's experience, whitedevil seems to be ill, Kotty is being interviewed and i busy with his own topic....Guys, let's be more active, or i'll ban all of you!:D

Lexy, and where is your selected topic? Oh, i suppose, everybody now is busy with tournaments at the weekend, who cares foreign languages)))
What about the matches of the Champions' League next week? Isn't it a good topic to discuss and...shoot off sparkles ?;) Inter-Barca, Bayern- Lyon.... iron's gonna melt, gosh, i am stiff scared...

So. Why is it so quiet here? I'm falling asleep.... Hrr...... Oh. Stop. Me should bring this topic to life)

Just some news) On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during last week I was an interpreter at the meeting of our specialists with french specialists))) I thought that I will translate with Italians on Tuesday, but my help wasn't needed) And at Wednesday's morning, when I placed my bottom on a chair and relaxed, telephone rang... And serious voice of one of my colleague told me that I must go and be an interpreter at the meeting with Frenchmen (but to translate in English of course). Without preparation at all))) I was knocked down with a feather... It was really big stress))) But these scientists and specialists were told that I have low experience in interpreting, so the atmosphere was good and the French spoke very clear, so I could understand almost every word. On Thursday I have already mastered the termins, so everything was brilliant) On Friday I just enjoyed it!!! But of course I felt very exhausted) And on Friday's evening I got drunk)))) Haha)

Welcome, Boobs- yeah, it's been rather quiet here unfortunately,everybody now has made up their minds to write here in English after they gave improved their English...Just imagine, how long it's gonna take...ages!:confused:

Cool, Boobs, really, you did it! The first step always seems hard, but you overcome it gradually and start to enjoy translating from Russian into English and vice versa.
I can imagine how you felt after you placed your...bottom on the chair, when the phone rang:D Ha!Come on, Boobs, pull yourself together and go ahead!;)
When you feel stress in such situations, it seems to you that you don't know a single word in English- i have been in this situation not only once...i was following other interpreters, when they were translating, and noticed, that they weren't translating the way the foreigners were saying the sentence- just translating the way they found convenient, not word for ford- but understandable and expressing the main ideas of the speakers.
So, you were knocked down with feather...:D Boobs, are you sure? Did i understand you correctly?:D I guess, for now you have no feathers anywhere;)
You said the French spoke very clearly. Well, i can say the same about the italians, they speak not only clearly, but slowly and making a lot of mistakes! U think it's much harder with the Yankees and Englishmen.
I am happy for you, really; i was sure you would go through it allright- and you did it, Boobs! Attaboy!:sthumbsup:
Write about your experiences again, when you have any!

Wow, Dima, long time away- don't break my heart, join us here whenever you wish and drop a few words here!:embrace: Yes, it was a good idea to make this topic, and from the very beginning i asked everybody not to ming mistakes, write the way you can:)
I have some plans regarding your personality;) , so don't keep away, you can suggest any topic for discussion!
 
BTW, yesterday was Lexy's b-day, maybe he will tell us in a nutshell, how he spent his party?
Remember, Lex, i am extremely curious...;)
